Sigung Dexter Parker began his martial arts journey in 1977 when he met a man named Amin while working at Caterpillar, from there he attended Amin's school the North American School of Self Defense in Peoria, Illinois.


During his time at the North American School of Self Defense he met and was trained by a man named Sifu Reginald McKissick (now a Grandmaster and head of the Low Tiger Kuntao Federation). The style was the Liu Seong Royal Kuntao System.


After the closing of the North American School of Kung fu, Sigung Parker started studying Hung Gar of Sifu Wing Lam.


Now at the age of 69 years old he is almost a Grandmaster himself running his school in Peoria, Illinois the Trinity Training Center teaching his students both systems in self defense as well as the health and wellness side that comes with the training in the form of chi healing and Qigong (chi kung).



Sigung Dexter Parker "is fully committed to providing each student with the most effective, realistic and safest training possible". He specializes "in instruction, leadership and mentoring in collaboration with organizations to improve mental and physical health utilizing martial arts" (Master Profiles, n.d.).



Sigung Parker is a member of the Low Tiger Kuntao Federation and Low Tiger 3N Indonesian & Kuntao Martial Arts.



He has been inducted five times into the USA Martial Arts Hall of Fame and is endorsed by the USA Martial Arts Alliance of Grandmaster Dr. Jim Thomas.
