Part 1 titled Kicks, Camera, Action: The Vince Murdocco Story Part 1, was about Vince Murdocco's start into martial arts, kickboxing, acting, and his positive outlook on life (Green, 2024)!
This article takes a dive into his fights as a repeated champion kickboxer, and a glimpse into what Vince Murdocco is doing now!
Vince Murdocco is no stranger of being a champion in the ring, as he had been the Canadian Crusierweight Kickboxing Champion and the North American Heavyweight Kickboxing Champion!
He recalls his fights with clarity as they are "embedded in" his "brain" (Murdocco). He says, "You remember everyone like they have been in your Kindergarten class", he particularly finds "it weird" when some people will tell vague stories that appear to not "remember" it, because according to Murdocco "Even if the fight lasts a few minutes you never forget that person" (Murdocco).
He remembers "One" of those "embedded" fights, that was among his "Japanese shootboxing", Murdocco says "They never told us till I arrived there are 2 10 minute rounds and 1 5 minute round if it goes that long" (Murdocco).
Being a professional kickboxer, he was "used to 3 minute rounds", "never had 10", but thought, "how long can it be?", to his support "it felt like a lifetime" (Murdocco).
With this, Murdocco says "In Japan being a fighter is a big thing and they are all respected and treated great", after his "fight was over ", he "was announced the winner" he did his signature "360 hook kick", which usually was accompanied by Murdocco walking "out of the ring", but this time he "fell on" his "a$x" (Murdocco).
From that story he remembered a "time" he at the age of "18" went to the "World Karate Championships in tacoma", (Murdocco). He "decided to enter the full contact division and forgot to read the small print" as it "said no belt class/unlimited", at the time Murdocco was "a green belt in Tae Kwon Do" with "only 6 months training" (Murdocco).
The "first guy" he fights was a "2nd degree black belt" Murdocco figured at the time "was no good", his "brother" enters "the ring" and says "theys sh&@ the same as you do... Don't even think their black belts" and there in Tacoma he won his "first black belt victory" with Bill Superfoot Wallace as "the referee" (Murdocco).
After that Murdocco found himself "in the Finals" with a "4th degree black belt" whose name sounded "familiar" to him that he recognized as an "accomplished fighter" but Murdocco went and left "it all in the ring" hitting "this guy with everything" and is "winning" the fight in "the first round", seeing this his brother gives him advice, which he told him "You stick and move and you'll win ok... Don't trade shots" with this Murdocco comes "out strong and without a doubt winning the fight" with only "30 seconds left" and his brother "yelling move", however "the warrior" in Murdocco was saying "I can take this guy" and thus he went "toe to toe" with the guy who ended up having "the better hands and dropped" Murdocco "with a 5 punch combination" (Murdocco).
Afterwards and "sitting on the ring" Murdocco recalls Bill Superfoot Wallace coming up to him and saying "I'm going to call it", the beaten Vince replied "You do that...thank you." (Murdocco).
After losing the fight, he asked "Bill Wallace" whether he [Wallace] if he [Murdocco] had "a career with fighting?" of which Wallace asked Murdocco "how long have you been training?" only to find himself surprised with disbelief that Murdocco "only" had been training "for 6 months" stating back to Murdocco "You only have trained for 6 months? These guys you fought have been fighting for 6 years easy...You are a force to be recognized with." Murdocco ended the thought saying "I never looked back since then." (Murdocco).
When asked about how he handled the pressure, Murdocco gives an analogy "it all comes down to, are you ready?, if you have not ran over 30 days straight you're not ready." He compares it to studying for "a midterm exam, if you do not study you will feel the pressure." Thus his advice to "eliminate the stress and pressure is to do your homework" with "the same" if you are going to be "a fighter" (Murdocco).
He certainly didn't look back with the impressive film and tv career he has had detailed in Part 1 (Green, 2024).

But as time presses forward he is still active in projects having accepted a brand ambassadorship with the World Bushido Federation and has "just finished a project" he "produced called The Italians are coming" something that "has taken 10 years to finish", but a project he is very proud of, "it's a different film, a dark comedy" but one we will be sure to catch once released I'm sure.

It was a real treat to interview such an icon in kickboxing, martial arts and movies. Many great lessons and history that anyone can learn from and be inspired by.
